Untitled Boardgame

A board game for rethinking home care.

Role and collaboration
Created with Max Kleijberg and Pomme van Hoof, in collaboration with Akta assistans and Access health.

How can home care respond to loneliness among older people, and what support do caregivers need in their daily work?

We translated our research into a board game. The game presented a possible future for home care and gave caregivers a shared setting in which to explore it.

It introduced a proposed role called Detect & Connect, encouraging players to reconsider their everyday work, recognise their own skills and explore new tools. Playing together created opportunities to test ideas, exchange knowledge and reflect on the challenges of care.

The aim was to support caregivers' creativity and confidence while opening a conversation about the well-being of the people they care for. The game was a starting point for rethinking home care through participation and play.
