The visual identity for DesignMarch 2014 explored interaction between design disciplines and the dialogue between creators and audiences.

We worked with colour, form and movement. A thaumatrope, which makes two images appear to merge as it spins, provided one way to explore this interaction. Transparent layers offered another, allowing forms and colours to overlap.

A flower in bloom became the central motif, connecting DesignMarch with spring and the beginning of a new design year.
For the installation, flowers bloomed in a white room powered by a cityscape of deconstructed machines. With their outer shells removed, the machines revealed the mechanisms that brought the flowers' colours and forms into motion.
